Ingredients used to make Zucchini Fries in Air Fryer

How to make Air Fryer Zucchini Fries?
Cut the zucchini into ¼-inch thick slices. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
In a large mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour/gram flour, rice flour, corn starch, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, chaat masala, salt, and pepper powder. Mix well.
Add a little water to the dry mixture to create a thick, lump-free batter. It should be thick enough to coat the zucchini slices but not too runny.

Dip each zucchini slice into the batter, ensuring an even coat. Let any excess batter drip off.

Roll the batter-coated zucchini slices in panko breadcrumbs to coat both sides thoroughly.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Arrange the coated zucchini slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12 minutes. Flip the slices halfway through and air fry until golden brown and crispy. While flipping, Brush with some oil on top of the zucchini slices for extra crispiness.
Serve the zucchini chips immediately with your favourite dipping sauce. They pair well with mint, tamarind chutney, or a simple yogurt dip.

Tips & Suggestions for the Perfect Zucchini Fries
- Cut Evenly: Ensure that the zucchini slices are of equal thickness for uniform cooking.
- Pat Dry: Removing excess moisture from the zucchini helps the batter adhere better and produces a crispier texture.
- Do Not Overcrowd: Cook the zucchini chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- Serve Immediately: Zucchini fries are best enjoyed fresh out of the air fryer while they are still hot and crispy.
Serving Suggestions
- With Dips: Serve with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, yogurt dip, or tomato ketchup.
- As a Snack: Enjoy them as a healthy snack during the day.
- As a Side Dish: Pair them with your favourite main course, such as grilled vegetables, rice or a hearty salad.

Zucchini chips are best enjoyed fresh. However, you can store them in an airtight container for up to a day. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
To keep your zucchini fries crispy, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket and cook them in a single layer. Serving them immediately after cooking will also help maintain their crispiness.
