Ingredients used to make the Pineapple Coconut Smoothie
Pineapple – A Pineapple Smoothie cannot exist without Pineapple, of course! Canned, fresh or frozen pineapples work well for this recipe. I have used fresh Pineapple here.
Banana – Ripened Banana gives a creamy texture and adds a natural sweet taste to the smoothie. Frozen bananas give a creamier texture, but fresh also works well.
Coconut Milk – Unsweetened coconut milk is what you are looking for. Adds such a good flavour.
Maple Syrup – This is completely optional. You could add honey or regular sugar. It depends on how sweet your pineapple is.
Coconut Flakes – These are optional too but you can and them to your smoothie for a nice texture and taste.
How to make Pineapple Coconut Smoothie?
Add Pineapple chunks , Banana slices, Unsweetened Desiccated Coconut and Coconut Milk to the blender. Blend them together.
Taste and add maple syrup or any sweetener of your choice. Blend until combined. Transfer to a serving glass, top with coconut flakes if desired and serve.
Tips & Suggestions
For the best flavour, use ripe pineapple. Frozen pineapple chunks work perfectly and help thicken the smoothie if you can’t find fresh pineapple.
You can use canned coconut milk for a richer, creamier texture or carton coconut milk for a lighter version. Both options work well, so choose based on your preference.
Add honey, maple syrup, or sugar if you prefer a sweeter pineapple smoothie with coconut milk. Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
For busy mornings, you can prepare the ingredients the night before. Store the pineapple chunks, coconut milk, and yogurt in a blender jar in the fridge. In the morning, add ice and blend.
