Creamy & Delicious Banana Chocolate Milkshake

With just a few ingredients and a few minutes of your time, you can make this delicious Milkshake that your entire family will love.

    Sharjah Shake

This Banana Chocolate Milkshake is also popularly known as Sharjah Shake. It is a variation of our regular milkshake with the addition of nuts, and chocolate malt powder. To make it richer, this milkshake can be topped with some ice cream. Mouthwatering, isn’t it?

Sharjah shake, as always, was introduced to me by my husband. He has lived in various parts of the world and has friends across various cultures. This has exposed him to a wide range of interesting recipes that he recalls and shares with me. He mentioned that this is a popular milkshake in Kerala.

As someone who is a big fan of chocolate and banana, I fell in love with the drink right at the first sip. I have been making this banana chocolate milkshake for my kids at least once a week and they are excited to have this one every single time.

Ingredients needed for Banana Chocolate Milkshake

Ingredients required to make Banana Chocolate Milkshake

Frozen Milk: The specialty of this milkshake is frozen milk. Use full fat, creamy milk for the best results. You can boil, cool and freeze the milk as cubes. I stored the milk in a Ziploc bag and crushed it while using it for the milkshake.

Bananas: Bananas are one of the main ingredients of this drink. Use ripened, sweet bananas for the best result. You can also cut and freeze the bananas and use them in this milkshake for a rich and creamier result.

Nuts: I have added peanuts to this milkshake. Raw almonds and cashews can be added too. Make sure the skin is removed.

Chocolate Malt Powder: Any kind of chocolate malt powder can be used. Horlicks, Boost, Bournvita, Milo or even plain Cocoa Powder, Drinking Chocolate can be added. I always stock up on Bournvita since me and my daughters love it. Hence, I have used Bournvita in this recipe.

Sweetener: Using sweetener is optional. You can use sugar, honey, maple syrup or even dates in this milkshake.

Ice Cream: This is optional but makes the milkshake creamier and richer. You can top this delicious Sharjah shake with your choice of ice cream.
