Indian Style Corn Bhutta

Growing up in India, roasted corn was a favourite snack for us. Popularly known as beach corn, this was our go-to snack when visiting Marina Beach. The charred grilled corn with golden brown to dark spots, with the addition of Indian masala and a squeeze of lemon juice, is just a beautiful sight.

The moment we see a corn vendor on the streets or at the beach, we would run to get one for ourselves. We got it almost throughout the year, making it a popular choice for all of us. This fresh sweet corn roasted on the cob is a great snack on a rainy day.

After moving out of India, I always look for opportunities to make corn on the cob at home. Every time we decide to have grilled veggies, Indian style grilled corn is always at top of the list.

The key to making this delicious air fry corn is the spices, which are so easy to put together! We usually get trimmed ears of corn from the store, making the job much easier. Just air fry them, smear the buttered spices and enjoy the Indian street style corn.
