About Air Fryer Nuts
My kids love nuts! Due to the nut-free policy in their school, I don’t get to pack nuts for them in their lunch or snack box. So, I always make sure I have a jar of roasted nuts in my pantry for them to snack on when they are back home. The one thing about eating nuts is, it is super addictive but it’s not something that we can consume in huge quantities. So we need to be mindful of how much we eat. Just a few nuts are enough to keep us full for a while.
When I made these roasted nuts for the first time, my husband asked why I would use my air fryer for roasting nuts. I asked him, why not? It’s mainly because the air fryer roasts the nuts evenly, and it takes very less time and effort to get it done.
We do get roasted nuts in all grocery stores but nothing like homemade, isn’t it?
It takes hardly 10 minutes to prepare these spice-coated, masala nuts in your air fryer. And the biggest advantage is, you can customize the spices and seasonings that go in along with the nuts. This way, you can use a different set of spices every time you make roasted nuts.

Variations & Substitutions
You can use any nuts of your choice. The other options would be pecans, peanuts, and walnuts. The cooking time may vary depending on the nut you use.
I have used oil in this recipe. Ghee can be used in place of oil. It gives a great flavour.
Each air fryer is different. If you feel your nuts are not roasted by 6 minutes, air fry a little longer but keep checking at 1-minute intervals. You don’t want to burn your nuts.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. This helps in cooking the nuts evenly.
As soon as you take the nuts out of the air fryer basket, they may be a little soft. Cool them off completely to taste the crunchy, well-roasted nuts.
Spices can be customized to your taste. Adjust the quantity according to your preference.
Ghee can be used in place of oil.
Garam Masala, Roasted Paprika, Garlic Powder, Chili Powder, and Turmeric Powder are a few other spices that can be used.
Sugar gives a balance of taste. You can use honey in place of sugar.
How to store these Air Fryer Nuts?
