Air Fryer Apples are super delicious and so easy to make. An easy, mouthwatering dessert you can whip up in no time. These apples are saucy and full of flavours, which makes them irresistible.

To be honest, I am not a big fan of apples. I remember throwing tantrums when my mom tried to make me eat apples , years back. Today, my kitchen is filled with apples because my kids love eating them.

Few months back, when I placed an order for apples, I ordered 1 dozen by mistake. The number of apples in the kitchen shocked me. Given a choice, my kids would have eaten them daily and finished the entire dozen within a few days. But, I wanted to try some interesting dessert for them and that’s when I decided to make these air fryer apples.

Now that I am using my air fryer on a daily basis to cook one vegetable or the other, I decided to try frying apples too. I have earlier tried making caramelized bananas using the air fryer and my entire family loved it. So,I knew my apples wont be bad , if not great.

To my surprise these air fryer apples turned out super delicious. I ended up eating quite a few pieces which is such a rare scenario. My daughters loved the air fryer apples and from then on, they keep asking me to make these apples for their evening snack time.

I love how simple and straight forward this recipe is. Peel and chop the apples while the air fryer gets preheated. While the apples are getting air fried, quickly put the seasonings in a bowl and mix them together. After the apples are cooked, add them to the bowl of seasonings, stir them well, and serve. So easy, isn’t it?

Apples : You can use any variety of apple in this recipe. Make sure the apples are firm and sweet for best results.

Butter : Highly recommended. Helps in giving a rich, buttery flavour to the sauce.

Cinnamon Powder : A little goes a long way! Adds a lot of depth and flavour to this recipe.

    Serving Suggestions

As is, these Air Fryer Apples are delicious. You can also top up your Pancake, Cereal, French Toast and Ice Cream with these delicious air fried apples.

Though Air Fryer Apples taste the best with Vanilla Ice Cream, if you want to try an interesting combination, serve these apples with Banana Chocolate Nice Cream

    Variations & Tips

Honey, regular granulated sugar, or brown sugar can be substituted for maple syrup . I love the combination of brown sugar + cinnamon + warm apples.

To add some spice, ginger powder, pumpkin spice, nutmeg powder can be added too.

If you have any leftovers, you can store them in an air tight container in your refrigerator. Simply re heat the apples in your microwave and serve them warm.

Each air fryer is different. So, keep an eye on your apples after a few minutes of air frying. Make sure you don’t burn the apple pieces. At around 7 minutes, just pause the air frying process, shake the basket and start cooking again. This ensures even cooking.

Try to slice the apple evenly. Even pieces help in even cooking.
