I made this recipe after my kids begged for chocolate waffles but I wanted something eggless and wholewheat. No buttermilk drama or complicated steps here. Just mix, pour into your waffle iron, and boom—golden, crunchy edges with a soft chocolatey center. Pair them with fresh fruits or a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Trust me, one bite and you’ll forget store-bought forever.

Why you will love these Wholewheat Chocolate Waffles?

These are eggless. Perfect for vegetarians or anyone avoiding eggs.

Easy to make, too. You need basic ingredients like wheat flour, cocoa, sugar, and melted butter. Just whisk and go.

Customize them endlessly—add nuts, berries, or even masala chai spice for an Indian twist.

Finally, they’re versatile. Breakfast, snack, or dessert? Yes to all. Freeze extras and reheat in a toaster.

How to make Eggless Wholewheat Chocolate Waffles?

In a big bowl, whisk wholewheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Mix well and set aside.

Add sugar, melted butter, vanilla and gently mix. Add milk little by little and form a batter. There should be no lumps. The batter should be purable. Adjust milk accordingly.

Preheat your waffle maker. Brush with oil or butter. No-stick spray works too. Scoop ¼ cup / a small ladle full of batter per waffle. Spread evenly.

Close and let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes until steam stops. Once thats done, remove with tongs.

Make all waffles. Stack them high. Dust with powdered sugar or serve with toppings. Enjoy fresh for max crunch!

Serving Suggestions

Stack with maple syrup and fresh strawberries. Dust icing sugar on top.

Top with honey, chopped bananas and roasted peanuts.

Add some Whipped cream, blueberries, and chocolate sauce on top. Kid-approved.

Peanut butter, sliced apples, and a sprinkle of cinnamon adds a great flavour.

Vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate drizzle, and crushed nuts makes these chocolate waffles super delicious.
