How to Pomegranate Smoothie with Banana?

Prepare the ingredients: Remove arils from a fresh pomegranate if not already done. Slice the frozen banana.

Blend the smoothie: Add pomegranate arils, frozen banana slices, milk to a blender. If desired, add ice for a thicker consistency.

Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy (about 30-60 seconds). Taste and add your choice of sweetener(if desired) and blend again.

Serve and enjoy: Pour the pomegranate smoothie into a glass. Optionally, garnish with a few pomegranate arils or a banana slice. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing pomegranate banana smoothie!

Tips to make the best Pomegranate Smoothie

You can add any sweetener of your choice to taste, as the natural sweetness of the banana and pomegranate may be not enough for some.

For a dairy-free version, use almond milk, oat milk, or any other plant-based milk of your choice.

Add some chia seeds to the smoothie while blending for a nice combination.

If you prefer a thinner consistency, add a little more milk or reduce the amount of frozen banana.

Serving Suggestions

Smoothie Bowl: Pour a thicker version of the smoothie into a bowl. Top with sliced almonds, fresh pomegranate arils, and a drizzle of honey. Add granola for a crunchy breakfast option.

Frozen Popsicles: Pour the pomegranate seed smoothie into popsicle molds and freeze for a healthy dessert. Ideal for hot summer days or as an after-school treat for kids.

Breakfast Companion: Serve the smoothie in a tall glass alongside whole grain toast with almond butter for a balanced breakfast. Pair with a small veggie omelet for a protein-packed start to the day.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use frozen pomegranate arils?

Absolutely! Frozen arils work great and can make your smoothie even colder and thicker. No need to thaw them before blending.

How long can I store this smoothie?

For best taste and texture, consume immediately. If needed, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking.

Can I use pomegranate juice instead of fresh arils?

Yes, use ½ cup of 100% pomegranate juice as a substitute for fresh arils. This works great when pomegranates are out of season.
