Tips and Suggestions
- Cheese variety: While mozzarella is recommended for its melting properties, you can experiment with different types of cheese. I have used cheese cubes in this recipe. You can use grated mozzarella cheese instead of cheese cubes and stuff it in.
- Baking option: For a healthier version, you can bake the paneer balls stuffed with cheese at 200°C for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Freezing: These balls can be frozen before frying or baking. Just thaw them for a few minutes before cooking.
- Spices: Adjust red chilli powder according to your spice level. You can also add green chilli instead of red chilli powder. Add red chilli flakes for a spicier kick or include other spices like garam masala for flavour.
- Additional Ingredients: Boiled and crumbled potato can be used along with paneer mixture. The spices can be altered according to your taste.
Serving Suggestions
Serve these Paneer Cheese Balls while they are hot. That is when you can taste the melted cheese in your mouth. If you are serving the balls a little later, reheat them for a minute and serve. Crispy Paneer Cheese Balls are versatile and can be paired with various sauces and dips. Here are a few suggestions:
- Mint chutney: For a refreshing touch.
- Marinara sauce: For a tangy twist.
- Mayonnaise: For a creamy dip.
- Tamarind chutney: For a sweet and sour flavour.
