Variations

Not everyone is a fan of Nutella. I absolutely get it. In that case, you can experiment with different pancake fillings. Use peanut butter, biscoff spread, jam filling or even fruit preserves for a unique twist.

You can add a pinch of cinnamon to the pancake batter to give it a different flavour and taste.

Tips to make the best Nutella filled Pancakes

Make the pancake batter a bit thick. This helps in holding up the frozen Nutella disc better.

To make the Nutella disc filling, spread a few tablespoons on a lined baking sheet. Decide the size of the Nutella disks depending on the size of the pancake you plan to make.

You will need to freeze the nutella discs for atleast 20 minutes before making the pancakes. The Nutella discs need to be completely solid. If the Nutella isn’t frozen completely, you won’t be able to lift it off the parchment paper easily.

While making the pancakes, place the Nutella disks back in the freezer. They thaw pretty fast and may melt easily. You won’t be able to use them if they lose their shape.

Serving Suggestions

Nutella Drizzle: Drizzle extra Nutella on top of your pancakes for an extra chocolatey treat. Perfect to be served as a special occasion breakfast.

Whipped Cream: Top with whipped cream and fresh fruit for a decadent dessert.

Maple Syrup: Serve the decadent pancakes with a side of maple syrup for a classic pancake experience.

Fresh Fruits: Serve these nutella pancakes with some strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or sliced bananas.

Powdered Sugar: Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top to have a fancy breakfast.
