Air fryer apples slices are a simple yet heavenly creation that combines the sweetness of apples with the crispiness achieved through air frying. The process involves cooking the apples in an air fryer, which uses hot air circulation to produce a crispy outer layer.

I love how straightforward this recipe is. Peel and chop the fresh apples while the air fryer gets preheated. While the apples are getting air-fried, quickly put the seasonings in a bowl and mix them. Once done, add the cooked apples to the bowl of seasonings, stir them well, and serve. So easy.

Variations & Tips

Choose the Right Apples: Opt for crisp and slightly tart apples like Granny Smith Apples or Honey Crisp Apples for the best results.

Experiment with Flavors: Customize your air fryer apples by sprinkling your favourite spices, such as cinnamon sugar, cardamom, cloves, pumpkin spice or ginger powder.

Don’t Overcrowd the Basket: To achieve optimal crispiness, ensure the apple slices are arranged in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Serve with Toppings: Elevate your golden delicious air fryer apples by topping them with a dollop of Greek yogurt, a drizzle of honey, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Variations in sweeteners: Honey, regular granulated sugar, or brown sugar can be substituted for maple syrup. I love the combination of brown sugar + cinnamon + warm apples.

Cooking Times: Each air fryer is different. So, watch your sliced apples after a few minutes of air frying. Make sure you don’t burn the apple pieces. At around 7 minutes, pause the air frying process, shake the basket and start cooking again. This ensures even cooking.
