Tips to keep in mind

Use good quality chocolate: Good chocolate will make your brownies taste more prosperous and decadent. Choose chocolate with at least 70% cocoa solids for the best chocolate flavour. Also, make sure you use good quality unsweetened cocoa powder to make the brownie batter.

Don’t overmix the batter: For the best results, mix the brownie batter until just combined. Overmixing can lead to tough, dry brownies.

Use room temperature eggs: Room temperature eggs mix more easily into the batter, resulting in a smoother texture.

Use a lined baking pan: Lining your baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil will prevent the brownies from sticking and make it easier to remove them from the pan.

Add Oreos at the end: Fold the chopped Oreos at the end of the mixing process to avoid breaking them up too much and losing the crunch.

Don’t overbake: Overbaking can result in dry and cakey brownies. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the brownies. If it comes out with moist crumbs, the brownies are done.

Following these tips, you can create extra fudgy brownies to satisfy your chocolate and cookie cravings.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use any type of Oreo for the brownies?

Yes, you can use any flavour of Oreo you prefer. Classic Oreos work well, but experiment with different flavours to customize the brownies.

Can I use a different type of chocolate chip for the brownie batter?

Absolutely! While the recipe may call for a specific type of chocolate, you can experiment with dark chocolate chips, milk, or semi-sweet chocolate, depending on your preference. Peanut butter chips can also be added. Just ensure it’s good quality chocolate for a rich flavour.

How do I store fudgy Oreo brownies?

Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days. To extend their shelf life, refrigerate them for up to a week or freeze them for longer storage. Make sure to allow them to come to room temperature before serving for the best texture.

Can I use a different type of sugar in the recipe?

In most cases, you can substitute one type of sugar for another (e.g., granulated sugar for brown sugar). However, remember that different sugars can affect the texture and taste of the brownies.

How do I achieve a fudgy texture in my brownies?

To achieve a fudgy texture, be careful not to overbake the brownies. Use the toothpick test: when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs, the brownies are done. Also, the recipe’s melting chocolate and cocoa powder contribute to a fudgy texture.

Can I double the recipe for a larger batch?
