Brownie Energy Balls are wholesome, filling, delicious and fudgy just like chocolate brownies. Filled with nuts and dates, these energy balls are perfect for your kid’s snack box, an after-school treat, a quick dessert for sudden cravings, a potluck, etc.

Why do I like these Brownie Energy Balls?

If you are someone with a sweet tooth, you can easily relate to me. I love having desserts after every meal. I don’t mind if dessert is my meal either. But is it healthy?
Not always!

These delicious brownie energy balls not only make a perfect dessert and satisfy the sweet cravings. They are also very healthy with no added flour or sugar. These brownie energy bites are naturally sweetened with dates and that’s about it!

The addition of dark chocolate chips is my favorite part of this recipe.
The intense chocolate flavor from the chocolate chips, and cocoa powder makes you want more, and honestly, you can’t just stop with one.

These brownie balls just require a handful of ingredients that is most likely available in everyone’s pantry and requires hardly a few minutes to put together. Looking at how delicious and easy this recipe is, you would be making them quite often and these brownie energy balls are going to be part of your kitchen on a daily basis.

Ingredients to make Brownie energy Balls

Nuts – They make the brownie energy balls wholesome and nutritious.

Cocoa Powder – Use good quality cocoa powder for a rich chocolate flavor

Dark Chocolate Chips – The addition of dark chocolate chips balances the taste and gives an intense taste and flavor to the energy balls. Just like fudgy brownies.

Dates – Pitted dates are added for the sweet portion. No other sweetener is needed for this recipe.

How to make these Energy Balls

First, add walnuts, cashew nuts, and almonds to your food processor. Process until the nuts are finely chopped.

Now, add the rest of the ingredients and process until it is well combined. Using your hands, form small brownie balls. Enjoy having them!

How to make Brownie Energy Balls

If not having immediately, store the balls in an air-tight container and refrigerate them.

Note: If your dates are not soft, soak them in a bowl of warm water for 15 minutes. Drain the water and use it in the recipe.

How to store Brownie Energy Balls

These fudgy energy bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. You can store them for up to 3 months in the freezer. Honestly, these brownie energy balls are not going to last that long. You can’t stop eating them once you start.

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup Walnuts
  • 1/4 cup Cashewnuts
  • 1/2 cup Almonds
  • 1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Dates

Instructions
 

  • Add walnuts, cashewnuts and almonds to the food processor. Process till they are broken into fine pieces.
  • Add cocoa powder, chocolate chips and dates. Pulse till the mixture is well combined. When you touch it, it would resemble a sand like consistency.
  • Use your hands to form small balls. Store them in an air tight container and enjoy whenever you like.

Notes
