How to make Oreo Chocolate Mousse?

First, crush the Oreo Cookies. You can use your food processor to make Oreo crumbs. Or, you can place the cookies in a ziplock bag and hit them with a rolling pin until they are crushed. Use Oreos with the cream. There is no need to separate them.

Roughly chop the chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl. Heat cream on the stovetop until just simmering. Alternatively, you can heat the cream in the microwave oven. Once you see the cream simmering around the edges, turn off the heat and immediately pour the warm cream over the chocolate. Stir until smooth.

Let it cool down completely. Once the chocolate mixture is cooled completely, beat it using a hand mixer until it is mildly fluffy. Whipped chocolate ganache is ready.

In another bowl, beat the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold in the whipped cream into the chocolate ganache until well combined. Chocolate mousse is ready.

Beat the remaining whipped cream to stiff peaks and keep it aside.

I have used unsweetened plain whipping cream. The sweetness from the Oreos is good enough for this dessert.
