2 sheet Puff Pastry Dough thawed ½ cup Nutella ¾ cup Fresh Strawberries diced into small pieces 2 tablespoon Sugar for dusting (optional) Melted Butter or One Egg for brushing (optional)
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
If using store-bought sheets, thaw the puff pastry sheets according to the package instructions.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
Cut the puff pastry sheet into equal squares using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
Add a tablespoon of Nutella to the middle of each square. Add a few pieces of diced strawberries over the Nutella.
Fold the opposite corners of the square. You can apply a drop of water to stick the corners.
Beat the egg or melt some butter and brush it over the pastry for a golden finish.
Sprinkle some sugar on the prepared puff pastry before it goes into the oven for baking.
Place the prepared pastry on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Once baked, allow it to cool slightly. Serve your strawberry Nutella turnovers.
