Ingredients

  • 3 Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 4 Bread slices
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • ½ cup Capsicum finely chopped
  • ¼ cup Sweet Corn I used Frozen sweet corn
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Salt as needed
  • 2 teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
  • Breadcrumbs to roll
  • Oil for brushing

Instructions

  • Boil the potatoes, peel the skin, mash and keep them aside.
  • Cut the corners of bread slices, crumble the bread slices into small pieces and keep them ready.
  • In a wide bowl, add the boiled and mashed potatoes, crumbled bread slices, finely chopped onion, finely chopped capsicum, sweet corn, ginger garlic paste, salt, chilli powder and chaat masala.
  • Mix everything together. Take the mixture little by little and form balls or rolls in your desired shape. I got around 20 rolls.
  • Take some Breadcrumbs on a wide plate. I used Readymade Panko Breadcrumbs.
  • Roll the Bread Rolls in breadcrumbs. Refrigerate for 30 mins.
  • Preheat your air fryer at 375F for 5 minutes. Brush oil in the air fryer basket. Place the rolls in the basket leaving enough gap between each one.
  • Air fry at 375F for 7 mins. Brush oil on the rolls. Turn them around and air fry again for another 7 minutes. I cooked the Bread Rolls in multiple batches.
  • Serve Air Fryer Bread Potato Roll with Chutney or Sauce.

Notes

The texture is definitely going to be different from that of a deep-fried bread roll. But with minimal oil, the crispiness on the outside is perfect and the vegetables are well cooked inside.
Grated carrot, Paneer can also be added to this recipe.
Spices can be customized according to your preference. You can use Garam Masala,  and finely chopped Green Chillies too.
You can dip the roll in cornflour slurry and then dip it in breadcrumbs too.
