  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

  • In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  • Add oil, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg. Whisk until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: baking powder, baking soda, salt, all purpose flour.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Add the milk gradually and mix well to form a batter.
  • Fill the muffin liners with an equal amount of muffin batter. Make sure each silicone muffin liner is ¾th full with the muffin batter.
  • Carefully place the silicone muffin liners in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  • Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 14 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes clean.
  • Repeat the process till all muffins are done.
  • Transfer the banana muffins to a cooling rack. Let them cool down to room temperature before serving or storing them in an air-tight container.

Notes

Pause the air fryer at 11 minutes and check if the muffins are fully cooked and if the muffins are golden brown. Insert a toothpick or skewer in the center of the muffin and check for doneness.
The Air fryer cooks and browns the muffins faster than the oven. But the taste won't be compromised.
Air fry in multiple batches if your air fryer basket is small.
If using paper liners, double or triple them up so that the shape holds better.
Once air frying is done, stop and remove the cupcake liners from the air fryer basket and cool them in a cooling rack.
We don't preheat the air fryer for this recipe. If making multiple batches, keep a watch a few minutes earlier. The air fryer is already hot, so the muffins might get cooked faster.
