Ingredients

  • 3 medium Potatoes Boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 12 slices Bread
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Onion Finely chopped
  • 1 small Tomato Finely chopped
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Chaat Masala Powder
  • 2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves Finely chopped

Instructions

  • Boil potatoes until soft in a pressure cooker. Peel them while hot. Mash the boiled potatoes and make sure there are no lumps.
  • Add finely chopped onion, finely chopped tomato, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, salt, coriander powder, chaat masala powder, and finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. Taste and adjust spice. Filling is ready. Set aside.
  • Take two bread slices. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Put potato filling on unbuttered side of the first slice. Spread evenly. Do not add too much filling. It will fall off. Place second slice on top. Make sure the buttered sides are out. Press lightly. Repeat for all bread slices.
  • Heat a pan on medium flame. Add little butter. Place sandwich in the pan. Press gently with a spatula. Cook for 2 minutes until golden brown. Flip carefully. Cook other side the same way. Repeat for all. Alternatively, you can use a sandwich maker.
  • Cut diagonal for two triangles. Makes it look nice. Serve hot with ketchup. Enjoy!
