To Toast the Bread
- 2 tablespoon Ghee/Butter
- 6 Bread Slices
To make Vegetable Masala
- ½ tablespoon Oil
- 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- ½ cup Onion finely chopped
- ¼ cup Tomato finely chopped
- ½ cup Carrot grated
- ½ cup Capsicum finely chopped
- ¼ cup Cabbage finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon Salt or as needed
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- ½ teaspoon Kashmiri Chilli Powder
- ½ teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- ½ teaspoon Chaat Masala Powder
- 1 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
- 2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves finely chopped
Add oil to a pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
Add finely chopped onions and saute for a minute. Add finely chopped tomato and saute it till tomatoes turn soft.
Next, add carrot, capsicum and cabbage. Saute for a couple of minutes. Add salt and all the spice powders. Mix well and cook for a minute.
Add tomato ketchup and mix well. Finally garnish with coriander leaves, check for salt and switch off. Keep this vegetable masala mixture aside.
Now place a tawa or pan on the stovetop. Toast the bread slices using ghee or butter till both sides become golden brown.
Place the toasted bread on a serving plate. Spread the vegetable masala mixture over the bread slice. Serve hot.
