Ingredients

  • 2 cups Coriander Leaves
  • 1 cup Mint Leaves
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 inch Ginger Peeled
  • 4 cloves Garlic optional
  • 1 Lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Roasted Cumin Powder
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  • Wash coriander and mint under running water. Pat dry with a clean cloth. Remove thick stems if any. Roughly chop the leaves.
  • Peel ginger and garlic. Cut green chilies. Remove seeds if you want less heat.
  • Add all chopped items to your blender jar: coriander, mint, ginger, garlic, chilies, lemon juice, salt, and cumin powder. Pour a little bit of water. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds. Scrape sides with a spoon.
  • Blend again till smooth paste forms. Add little more water only if the chutney is too thick. Do not add too much water at once. The chutney will become runny.
  • Taste and adjust salt or lemon.
  • That's it! Your homemade green chutney for sandwich is ready. Transfer to a clean glass jar. Can be refrigerated up to a week.
