Ingredients

  • 100 grams Dark Chocolate
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Filling: Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces. Set aside.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour (maida), cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Make the Dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Shape the Cookies: Take about 2 tablespoons of dough and flatten it in your palm. Place a piece of chopped dark chocolate in the center and wrap the dough around it, forming a ball.
  • Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake: Bake for 16-18 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
  • Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
