Ingredients

  • 1 head Cauliflower cut into florets
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tbsp Gram Flour / Besan
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the cauliflower into florets of similar sizes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix chickpea flour(besan), turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, chilli powder, and salt to create a spice mix.
  • Toss the cauliflower florets in the spice mix until they are evenly coated.
  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking. Place the spiced cauliflower in the basket in a single layer, ensuring it is not overcrowded.
  • Air fry at 375F for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the cauliflower halfway through to ensure even cooking. Check at 12 minute mark and cook for more time only if you feel it's not done. The cauliflower should be golden brown and crispy. Do not let it burn.
  • Once done, remove the cauliflower from the air fryer and transfer it to a serving dish. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lemon wedges, if desired.

Notes

Each Air fryer is different. Adjust the timing if needed according to your air fryer. Cooking time also depends on the size of the cauliflower florets. Make sure you chop them in uniform size as much as possible.
You can customize the spices according to your preference. Paprika powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Italian Seasoning, Chaat Masala, and Pepper Powder are a few of the options that can be used.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. If your air fryer is small in capacity, fry the florets in batches.
Tailor the spice levels to your preference. Increase the heat with extra red chilli powder or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
