Cuisine Indian
- 1 cup Cashew nuts
- 1 cup Almonds
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
- 1 tsp Chaat Masala
Add cashew nuts and almonds to a bowl. Add oil and mix well.
Next, add sugar, salt, pepper powder, and chaat masala and combine well until the nuts are coated well with the oil and spice mixture.
Transfer the nut mixture to the air fryer basket and spread it out well.
Air fry at 350F for 6 minutes. In between, at around 3 minutes, remove the air fryer basket and give it a shake. Continue cooking for the rest of the time.
Once done, the air-fried masala nuts would be golden brown and well-roasted. Transfer the nuts to a tray lined with parchment paper. Let it cool down completely.
Once the roasted nuts come to room temperature, transfer them to an air-tight container.
Store the air fryer nuts in a dry container at room temperature for upto 4 weeks. Enjoy!
Each air fryer is different. If you feel your nuts are not roasted by 6 minutes, air fry a little longer but keep checking at 1-minute intervals. You don't want to burn your nuts.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. This helps in cooking the nuts evenly.
As soon as you take the nuts out of the air fryer basket, they may be a little soft. Cool them off completely to taste the crunchy, well-roasted nuts.
Spices can be customized to your taste. Adjust the quantity according to your preference.
Garam Masala, Roasted Paprika, Garlic Powder, Chili Powder, and Turmeric Powder are a few other spices that can be used.
Sugar gives a balance of taste. You can use honey in place of sugar.
Ghee can be used in place of oil
