Add 1 tsp ghee to a pan. Once the ghee melts, add the rava. Roast on low to medium flame till a nice fragrance comes. It takes around 5 to 8 minutes. Keep stirring consistently. Make sure you don't burn the rava. We don't want the colour of the rava to change. Once a nice aroma comes , switch off and let the rava cool.
Add granulated sugar, and cardamom powder to a mixie jar and powder it well.
Add the roasted rava to the sugar mixture and powder it again.
Add the rava sugar mixture to a wide bowl.
Add remaining ghee to the pan. Once ghee melts, add broken cashews pieces and fry till cashews turn golden brown.
Switch off. Add the cashews along with the ghee to the rava mixture.
Mix well with a spatula and ensure that ghee is combined well with rava.
Apply little ghee to your palms and shape ladoos once the rava mixture is warm enough to handle.
Shape the ladoos while the mixture is slightly hot. It would become difficult to shape them if you let the mixture cool down.
Store in an air tight container and enjoy the ladoos.
