Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter around 113 grams
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 3/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 16 Oreo Cookies

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F /180C . Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil, leaving some overhang on two sides to easily lift the brownies out of the pan. Grease the paper or foil lightly.
  • Melt butter entirely and allow it to come to room temperature. Break the Oreos into small pieces and keep them ready.
  • Whisk the melted butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the bowl and whisk until smooth. To the mixture, add cocoa powder and salt.
  • Next, add flour little by little. Gently combine the mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Oreo cookies, reserving some for topping the brownies.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the reserved Oreo pieces on top of the batter.
  • Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out with moist crumbs attached.
  • Remove the baking pan from the oven and allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  • Once cooled, lift the brownies out of the pan using the overhang on the parchment paper or foil. Cut them into squares and serve. Enjoy your delicious fudgy Oreo brownies!

Notes

Don't overmix the batter: Mix the brownie batter until just combined. Overmixing can lead to tough, dry brownies.
Don't overbake: Overbaking can result in dry and cakey brownies. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the brownies. If it comes out with moist crumbs, the brownies are done.
