Paneer Popcorn

Paneer Popcorn is a delicious and crunchy snack recipe that can be made in minutes. These crispy paneer nuggets are a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gms Paneer
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning

For the paste

  • 4 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Water

For coating

  • 3/4 cup Breadcrumbs

Instructions
 

  • Cut Paneer into equal size cubes and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  • Add salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and red chilli powder to the paneer and gently mix them together.
  • In another bowl, mix cornflour, salt and water. Make sure the mixture is lump-free
  • Add breadcrumbs to a wide plate and keep it ready.
  • Take paneer cubes one by one and dip them in this cornflour mixture.
  • Roll the paneer cubes in breadcrumbs. Again roll them in the cornflour dip and then in the breadcrumbs.
  • Make sure the spices and breadcrumbs are evenly coated in the paneer cubes.
  • Once all the paneer cubes are coated with spices, refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Deep Frying

  • Heat oil in a pan.  Once the oil is ready, add paneer cubes to the hot oil. Do not overcrowd the pan. Fry the paneer cubes on a medium flame till the cubes turn golden brown in colour on all sides.

Air Fryer

  • Preheat your air fryer at 390F for 5 minutes. Brush oil in the air fryer basket. Place the paneer cubes in the basket leaving enough gap between each one.
  • Air fry at 390F for 5 mins. Turn them around and air fry again for another 5 minutes.
  • Serve with simple tomato ketchup or mayonnaise.
