Who doesn’t love finger food? I have always been a fan of crispy, delicious snacks right from my childhood. Every evening when I was back from school, my eyes always looked for those crispy snacks on the kitchen counter.

How to make Paneer Popcorn
Cut Paneer into equal size cubes and transfer to a mixing bowl.
Add all the spices to the paneer and gently mix them together.
In another bowl, mix cornflour, salt and water. Make sure the mixture is lump-free.
Add breadcrumbs to a wide plate and keep it ready.
Take paneer cubes one by one and dip them in this cornflour mixture.
Roll the paneer cubes in breadcrumbs. Again roll them in the cornflour dip and then in the breadcrumbs.
Make sure the spices and breadcrumbs are evenly coated in the paneer cubes.
Once all the paneer cubes are coated with spices, refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Deep Frying
Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is ready, add paneer cubes to the hot oil. Do not overcrowd the pan. Fry the paneer cubes on a medium flame till the cubes turn golden brown in colour on all sides.
Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer at 390F for 5 minutes. Brush oil in the air fryer basket. Place the paneer cubes in the basket leaving enough gap between each one.
Air fry at 390F for 5 mins. Turn them around and air fry again for another 5 minutes.
Notes
Spices and seasonings can be customized. Onion powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, pepper powder, oregano etc can be added.
Make sure the paneer pieces are firm.
You can use homemade or store-bought bread crumbs in this recipe.
Powdered cornflakes can be used in place of breadcrumbs.
