This easy , Eggless Tiramisu recipe is made with lady fingers soaked in freshly brewed coffee, layered with silky mascarpone cream and dusted with cocoa powder on top. This is a fantastic no bake dessert which can be put together in a matter of minutes.

I am sure most of us love desserts. Especially when it requires no cooking or baking, it would be our first choice. Tiramisu is one of my most favourite desserts for this reason. It is rich, creamy and not so sweet. The taste is perfectly balanced and a popular choice among the desserts out there!

Whenever I make desserts for a group of people, I always look for ways to make it kid-friendly and try to alter the recipe so that it can be enjoyed by everyone. That is exactly how I started making this Tiramisu recipe. Avoiding alcohol and raw eggs makes this dessert a crowd-pleaser.

The beauty of this Tiramisu is, it can be done in just one pan. We don’t have to bother about any fancy frosting or decoration. It’s so hard to believe that such a great tasting dessert is actually this simple to prepare.

How is this recipe different from traditional Tiramisu

The traditional Tiramisu recipe is made with ladyfingers soaked in coffee flavoured liqueur , frehly brewed coffee and layered with a cream made of mascarpone, raw egg yolk, sugar and finally dusted with cocoa powder.

In this recipe, instead of raw egg yolks we will be using whipping cream. Also, this recipe is absolutely alcohol free.

Tiramisu

Ladyfingers / Savoiardi Biscuits
Mascarpone Cream
Coffee
Whipping Cream
Granulated Sugar
Vanilla Extract
Cocoa Powder for dusting

How to make Eggless tiramisu

Beat Mascarpone cheese till soft and silky.

Add in whipping cream and beat till combined together.

Add sugar and instant coffee powder to this mascarpone mixture. Beat till you get a stiff cream.

Dip the ladyfingers in some freshly brewed coffee. Arrange them on a tray.

Spread the marcarpone mixture on top of one layer of ladyfinger.

Repeat the same with another layer of ladyfinger biscuits and cream. Dust with cocoa powder.

Let it set in the refrigerator for a minimum 4 hours to overnight.

What makes this eggless tiramisu special

This recipe doesn’t use raw eggs. But the taste is just the same as traditional Tiramisu.

Tiramisu can be made ahead of time. Infact, it tastes best a few hours after preparation. This tiramisu recipe can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. It can also be stored in the freezer for 2 months.

We are making this recipe alcohol free, which makes it suitable for kids as well as adults to enjoy this Tiramisu.

Tiramisu is an easy dessert. It can be prepared in less than 15 minutes which is also a reason why this dessert is so popular.

Tiramisu is always a crowd pleaser. This recipe can be made for parties and potluck with no big effort.

If you are trying to make a completely eggless dessert due to allergy or any other reasons, please ensure you use ladyfinger biscuits that are eggless. Or, you could try making these biscuits at home too!

Ingredients

  • 20 Ladyfingers / Savoiardi Cookies
  • Cocoa Powder for dusting
  • 1 cup Espresso
  • 1 cup Mascarpone Cream ( Room Temperature )
  • 1 cup Whipping Cream
  • 2 tsp Instant Coffee Powder
  • 1/2 cup Sugar

Instructions

  • Prepare a cup of Espresso Coffee. Instead you can add Instant Coffee Powder to a cup of boiling water to prepare coffee.
  • Add mascarpone cheese to a bowl. Beat on medium speed till soft.
  • Add whipping cream & beat till combined.
  • Add sugar and Instant Coffee Powder. Beat on medium high speed for 4-5 minutes until cream becomes stiff.
  • Dip ladyfinger biscuits in the coffee for just a second and arrange in a tray.
  • Layer the cream on top of the biscuit layer.
  • Keep repeating till all the biscuits and cream is done. Finally finish with a cream layer.
  • Sift and dust cocoa powder on top of the cream layer.
  • Refrigerate for minimum 4 hours to overnight.
  • Cut and serve.

Notes

1)Do not add too much cocoa powder on top. It may taste bitter.
2)Make sure you don’t soak the biscuits in the coffee for more than a second. It will become soggy. 
3)You can add either granulated sugar or icing sugar in the cream mixture.
