Chana Chaat Sundal
Chana/ Kondakadalai Sundal is a very popular recipe in South India. It is specially made on occasions like Navarathri, Ganesh Chaturthi etc. I often make them as an evening snack too because it is simple yet very filling. This year during Navarathri, instead of making the regular chickpeas sundal, I decided to make a chaat sundal using boiled chickpeas, coriander mint chutney and few fruits that I had in hand.
I have used only the ingredients that I had in hand. I have listed below, the alternatives that can be used.
If you have boiled chickpeas in hand, you can add your choice of fruits, vegetables and spices to it. A delicious snack is ready in no time.
To cook the chickpeas, just soak them overnight, drain the water, add fresh water to it and cook them for 3-4 whistles in a pressure cooker by adding little salt. The cooking time would largely depend on the quality of chickpeas, soaking time, the texture that you prefer in the final outcome.
